Another nice hotel quite luxurios compared to the last two night in the Laguna Lodge in Tortuguero National Park.
AC and TV (Yes I am back to civilization! :-)
And finally I can dry my laundry.
Huge bathrooms! Really do they need that much room? They could have spring for a soaker tub and jacuzzi yet they did not. I wonder if they changed their mind afterward. They could use it in the room although they were spacious already. The grounds are amazing and the hotel has a very good vantage point of the volcano. It is so close that you could hear it go off and the shock wave actually cracked the windows facing the volcano.
The Restaurant is very nicely located with an uninterrupted view of the valley and the Volcano as well.
Golf Cart system to drive you around the property-So I heard as I never got to use it.

On the way to a pineapple …

Some rooms have a volcano view, and the restaurant is …

We were both glad that we didn't take the longer cheaper bus route but later found out that in 1979 the lake was tripled in size as part of a hydroelectric project which now generates an impressive 70% of the country's electricity,. The old towns of Arenal and Tonadora now lie abandoned at the bottom of the lake.
