... do all the work.

Unfortunately, no-one tells the local train drivers this. Instead they are enjoying an unscheduled Tuesday off in the sunshine. Yes, today, on one of our two days in Cinque Terre, there is a train strike. And a ferry strike (just in case we thought there was another way out). ... a quiet place and all managed a bowl of pasta, then a slow walk home. Lovely still night, not cold at all. Home for showers and bed, we plan to get on the local train tomorrow and head back to one of the Cinque terre towns, and then walk between a few of the towns along the coast, stopping somewhere for lunch. I still NEED a curling iron.

Road construction here is handled very crazy. Wait till I upload a particular video or two on the blog. You will see.

Started the morning with a cappuccino, banana and pesto pizza. Yummy! No really yummy! Started hiking from Monterosso to Vernazza a for an hour and half trek. Little did I know it was the hardest trail between two Cinque Terre towns. The 1 1/2 hours turned into 3. You hike way up the cliffs overlooking the sea on little stone stairs. the climd was exasperating but the descent into Vernazza was really ******* the old knees and they hurt. I thought I messed them ...
