Cinque Terre

... and much much shorter, and I think the downwards journey was longer - though the ground on the descent was a bit more treacherous. The sky was threatening rain all day but luckily for us it waited until we were safely at Manarola. I would not like to be caught up the top when a storm hits - there is no shelter, and coming down is scary enough when its dry!

The path had plenty of climbing, but was wider and a little less ...

When I asked how we could get to the room she said, oh no, you wait for the office boy, Alessandro, he will take you up there. Slightly confused we waited out front for Alessandro who clamored down the street towards the office dripping with so much sweat he could've created a new Mediterranean sea! He swiftly took my bag from me and begun up ...
