If I'm starting to sound repetitive, please forgive me. Forecast for today ... stinking hot. BHH (big honking hill) right off the bat even by road. Turns out the walking trail, we were told later, was pretty impossible for bikes .. we would have been pushing our bikes up and over boulders. ... sound of church bells every where you go.

OH and the small luxury of getting my laundry done while I was out being a was so nice to come back to my room to find my clothes washed and hanging up in the wardrobe; and all for €10.

We had dinner at La Favorita, a tapas and pinchos bar. It was such a balmy evening we sat outside and enjoyed the weather and vibrancy of the night time street life.

... down was wide and had good traction. It was still a test for the knees. At the top before huge descent we had the "Oh ****" moment that I had seen in oh her documentaries. ... was a 12% grade. I don't ever remember seeing that on road signs in the American West, which has much higher hills than the one I was looking at. It took a while to climb, but once I got up, it was pretty much right straight down again. This time, the grade was 18%, that's far higher than any I've ever seen.
