... The Camino really let's you see those pleasures. We would all give up for a foot massage and pedicure if we could find one. Was heaven last night in our own room despite dogs that barked all night and we look forward to the same today minus the dogs! Even have views of the old castle from our room! In the old town which I love - so blessed to stay in places built in ancient history, long before Australia was colonised!

... back down very steeply. In the distance there were mountains (not ones we have to cross - not now anyway!!) the Cantabrian mountains. After that it was quite a long unshaded walk, and a long time before any villages. But finally before arriving at Frómista we went through beautiful countryside - over a river, which was the boundary into a new province - Palencia - and then along a very pretty canal - Canal de Castilla - which was tree-lined and shady.
