Yesterday I woke up at 5:00 rested ... I actually heard myself snoring in my dream state... Is that called lucid snoring? and left at sunrise.. Since it can get hot this time of the year in the plains, best to rise early and enjoy the quiet and freshness of the morning. There was one last straight climb up and than many days of long. stretches on the plains.. The last climb was 2000 ft ...

El Cid's body is interred in the Cathedral. The name El Cid was given him ...

A far nicer way to wake up than the usual sound of zips being done up and loud Germans talking. We started the walk out of town and after about 2km started the steep rise to the plateau or Mesata. After the burn to the top we had a short walk and then faced an 18 degree slope downhill. At least ...

... You plan, you set out, and sometimes, you detour. But had we not stopped, we would not have been able to enjoy this remarkable city with it's charm and beauty. We are thankful for all the support and advice (achoo! Sorry!) from home. As much as we are on our own over here, we never feel alone. It will be a new adventure to see what we learn about ourselves as we set out alone for a couple of days! Keep you ...
