    ... Ephesus. We spent the morning there before catching the bus down to Fethiye. We are very near the beach in a fabulous self catering apartment. So we can do our own food. We have all been complaining like crazy about the dry food here!! No gravy or sauces!!!! In desperation we covered our doner kebab with mayo and tomato sauce yestreday and i never use them back home!!! Anything for a bit of sauce!!! We made such a nice SAUCY supper last night.     ... sides, but mainly to do with deadly Australians such as sharks, crocs, spiders, stingers etc!! On the way home we were entertained by an old gentlemen balancing bottles, doing rope tricks and then belly dancing for us...he invited me to join him and of course I couldn't resist...even got a few cheers from the mostly Turkish crowd.     ... BC. They also left a lot of monumental tombs from this period, which you can see in some of the pictures. The region of Lycia was also notorious for its pirates, although I have yet to spot any of those. Today it's probably most famous for its beaches, 500-km "Lycian Way" hiking trail, and innumerable greenhouses that are used to grow tomatoes.
