Travel day to Mull

After breakfast we left the hotel for our travel day at 8:15. First stop was shortly down the road on the way to the first ferry. We explored in the rain (yes, Bertha is still with us) the Museum of the Isles located at the Clan Donald Skye complex. We first walked over to see the castle ruins of Amadale Castle. When followed the path to the museum. The museum talked of the history of the clans of the area known as the f of the ...

The mountains and hills perfectly reflect of the glassy lake, it takes ...

... on this part. There are 2 summits so we visited both (it'd be a travesty not to have visited the 'right one'),
before descending through a short squall on the descent before crossing the boggy Col at 600m, ready to start the ascent up Beinn a Chaorainn. We had good views over loch Treig at this point,
the grey corries and Aonoch mor and Beag.
However we watched them disappear ...

... make it an enjoyable stay. I suspect her glory days were over 100 years ago. When I first got to my room I felt a bit unsteady on my feet, I just put it down to having been on a train for the past 3 hours. I put my water bottle on the bedside table and watched it slowly slide off onto the floor. I then put my glasses on the bedside table and watched them slide onto the floor. It seems my room is not level, in fact my iPad spirit level app (I assume everyone has that ...
