However, we did find Wertheim! It sits on the confluence of the Tauber and Maine Rivers and at the time of our visit, the annual festival of music was in full swing. Another late night of German beer and dancing! Good fun, hopefully to be repeated next year. The parking area was across the river, so was reasonably quiet … the time the music actually stopped ...

From there we headed to Saint Thierry, just near Reims in the Champagne district. WE checked in, staying at a Champagne winery, had a glass of wine & headed in to the town for dinner at a recommended restaurant. A nice dinner, some ordering & practice at my French AGAIN.... ready for the next day of exploring this region!
