Said farewell to the Falls this morning. Definitely a highlight of the trip so far. Overcast and raining today so our timing was pretty good. An easy 2 hour drive to Stratford, arriving at 3.30pm. Clear blue skies and 14 degrees today. Drove to Kitchener, a 30 minute drive from Stratford. First stop was the Kitchener farmers markets. Beautiful displays of fresh foods. We picked up some fresh raspberries and stopped for a coffee. Walked up the main street which was closed off for a car show and reached the Oktoberfest celebrations. Enjoyed …

... at about $37 to $39 for 750ml. Same quality would sell in Ontario for under $25. Their aged rum was $90 per 750ml. If would compare to $35 to $40 bottles here.

Beer prices were also high. Six packs started at $18 in most stores. In bars a beer would cost $7 to $9 a bottle.

I don't think I could ever get comfortable with prices like that...
