So, tomorrow is the big day! 24 hours from now I will be at the airport, anxiously awaiting to board the plane. Well, that is the plan anyway, but as recent history has demonstrated, things don't always go as planned when it comes to me and airports. :P But I've booked my flight with "back-up plans" in mind, so I'm not too worried! My flight is scheduled to leave at 11:30 tomorrow morning, with stops in ...
... prefer to enhance it with ketchup. At $20 (including tip), the price may be slightly high for a diner, though the service is attentive with three separate waitresses checking to see if all is well. The undercooked fries are a slight, somewhat soggy disappointment on this visit, but I was served a heaping portion. After the meal, I'm always too full for Madelyn's famous (or infamous for health-conscious patrons) butter tarts or pies...maybe on a future visit in place ...
... journey on back roads back until I could rejoin the interstate. The radio indicated it could be after noon before the accident would clear, so I'll be grateful for the little things. Sustained by the caffeine overload of grape-flavored 5-Hour Energy drinks and two rest stop visits, I overcame my lack of sleep and crossed the border via Ambassador Bridge with only a five-minute wait at the gates.
