My dear friend Cara (I suspect everyone who knows her calls her my dear friend as she is the kindest, most generous of spirit person I know) gave me this beautiful journal to encourage me to put this journey down on paper. She suggested it might even encourage me to become a blogger! So I am writing in this beautiful book but ...

Sustained by the caffeine overload of grape-flavored 5-Hour Energy drinks and two rest stop visits, I overcame my lack of sleep and crossed the border via Ambassador Bridge with only a five-minute wait at the gates.

... is a town I enjoy as it has a small town feel and is quite 'artsy'. So far, my favourite little eatery is the 'York Street Cafe' with their brightly painted walls, miss-matched dishes, crazy antique salt and pepper shakers, and amazing sandwiches. It seems that during this visit home we're eating out more than anything, and Brian and I have both put on ...
