Clear blue skies and 14 degrees today.  Drove to Kitchener, a 30 minute drive from Stratford. First stop was the Kitchener farmers markets.  Beautiful displays of fresh foods.  We picked up some fresh raspberries and stopped for a coffee.  Walked up the main street which was closed off for a car show and reached the Oktoberfest …

    It's all good. Right ...

Then to the downtown for coffee, and browsing of the antique shops and galleries of the town’s renown. Lots of great stuff that we didn't buy.
Back to the festival grounds for lunch and some van viewing, and then off on our bikes again to check out the “Mill ...

    Heading for New York City

... just built a new home, but they had lived in the area for 30 years so were great tour guides. We had two nights with them. On Wednesday they took us for a drive all round the area. It is a series of lakes with a lot of islands and particularly beautiful fall colours because it gets very cold there. They are retired but have a part time job maintaining one of the many holiday 'cottages’ on the lake for a family from California. They only use the cottage ...
