... at an open section of river and he spent about 30mins looking at and investigating the rocks! We found one with incredible green streaks through it. We wanted to try some Slovenian cuisine so went for dinner at a cute little place called Strud'l. We had a huge feast of local specialities. It was delicious! We also tried their homemade tea and a crepe for dessert. So full! Very enjoyable ...

Clear blue skies and very cold! We got ready to ride then drove to find somewhere to park for the day. Not an easy task in a touristy town like this! Anyway, we found a spot about 5km away in Bohinjska Bela, en route to lake Bohinj. We took Mats "short cut", aka wet, gravel, muddy, soggy autumn leaves, steep gradient.. For about 20km through the Slovenian national park with no map then realising we were going in a circle ...

The morning saw lots of rain. We packed up and left camp around 11am and drove into Bled. We donned the waterproof hiking boots and wandered around the lake and town before stopping for a pizza (very Slovenian!). We also tried the famous Bled cream cake (kremna rezina). We walked back around the lake, hoping to rent a row boat to row out to the island, but the weather became more miserable. We went back to the van ...

We started the day with a run through the mountains. It was wet and muddy, lots of autumn leaves on the track, and some beautiful waterfalls along the way. After checking the weather forecast and some grocery shopping we hit the road to Bled in Slovenia. We arrived at the campsite. Their last guests for the season! They close tomorrow. We're the only ones here. We found a spot for Percy and he ...

... enjoyable detour we continued on our journey to Riegersburg. What an incredible castle! Built on the top of a 420m high dormant volcano, it's beautiful. We walked around the castle but decided not to look in. Next stop was Graz for a new bike tyre (Mats has completely worn through) then to Klagenfurt. The first campsite was closed but luckily we found another closer to town. We're parked under a chestnut tree!! The town is located right on a massive lake Wörthersee. Very ...
