... the cathedral we visited the museum and then the grand arch (which was actually a huge shopping arcade). I can say huge with some satisfaction since there were binoculars set into the marbled floor at several intervals so that you could better look down the corridors of wealth and power. All the big names were here: Versace, Prado, Louis Vuitton..etc. For ***** and giggles we went into each of the above mentioned shops - way out of my price range - but its nice to ...

... and maybe a couple of other smaller vessels. Maybe it gets busier in summer proper? In any case, it felt kind of surreal to be on the water, in Italy, watching the world go by. Loved it.

It was pretty surreal to climb the stairs out of an underground train station see the enormous cathedral gradually emerge, step by step. We wandered around the shops and I took them to "Panzerotti Luini" which was as amazing as the first time and slightly less busy! Then we went for Nathan ...

... out of Como and didn't count on the fact that the taxi would take 20 minutes to get to me for the 10 minute ride to the train. Needless to say, I watched my train pull out the station just as I arrived thus missing my train in Milan to Verona! Luckily, I only had to wait an hour for the next train to Milan and had to by another ticket for Verona. As slow as some things are in this country, the trains are amazingly on time! So I made it to Milan and in the ...
