      The only reason I came to Fontainebleau was to walk in the forest (to get a break from the city rush) and to get closer to the Loire Valley, where I will be getting on a cruise!       Fontainebleau and Provins

      Patrick arrived at 9am to check us out; we said good-bye and walked to the Metro for the train to CDG. We were at the airport by 10am, got our rental car, and hit the road out of town. We did not have much traffic, which was nice, nor rain. It was a fairly easy drive to Fontainebleau.

      We parked in a carpark right near the chateau then walked through town to get lunch (salad, pasta, wine, coffee).
