Bubbly Anyone?
Today was a bit of a nice surprise for us both.
We made the journey from Lille to Epernay via Reims and to say it rained a litle bit was an understatement! We have been very, very lucky with the weather so far. It seems to rain on the travelling days from one place to the other and then the next seems to blue sky and sunny for the day when we are walking around. I call it the Markie Factor. :-)

Notre Dame de Reims!

Ensuite on s'est ruee vers le macdonald pour se couper la faim avant de partir arpenter les rue etroies de la ville avec notre petite bagnole. une fois stationner, on a passer quelques heures a visiter les attractions principales dont la cathedrale Notre-dame de Reims, la basilique st-remi, la place royale et la place du chapitre.
Prener note que Reims se prononce "rince" comme dans rince-bouche!

A Champagne tour
... windows were destroyed in the first world war.
Being a Sunday most of the shops in the town were closed but there were some eating places opened for the tourists for lunch. After lunch we drove about 40 minutes to a place called Epernay to visit Moet & Chandon. There were some great views on the way of the vineyards with leaves turning brown on the vines.
