... locally grown and bought from the market, boulangerie or from local suppliers. A couple of days ago, for instance,  we were out on a walk around a mountain village perched on the hillside overlooking a spectacular gorge and we found a lovely restaurant serving coffee and pizzas. I offered to buy us some for lunch but Alison said I could get some coffees but she had something sorted out back at the house. ... amp; Alison since they visited us at some time when we were living in Norfolk! Back to the house and sundowners and nibbles on the veranda. Beautiful warm evening. BBQ and more wine and to bed. The road through the village runs right under my bedroom window but fortunately not much overnight traffic!

Morning visit to the vide Grenier in Saissac. Huge boot sale! But highly regulated. Vendors can only attend 4 per year, so it takes the commercial stalls out of the equation. The second of the three days of the fête. Today is centred on the Bassin where there will be raft races jousting on the water and other sights. Huge crowds wander through the town where huge marquees are set up down the roads for eating and drinking. Lots of stalls selling food, drink, crafts and trinkets. Music everywhere.
