This comfortable hotel is decorated with lots of cherries - this is the owner's personal touch. The rooms are comfortable and neat. It is also very closets a railway station.

Lyon: Full Day Excursion to Marseille

Today I woke up with bloodshot eyes thanks to an eyeliner that I will never use again. I looked like a demon. On the train to Marseille, I sat alone. The person who had the ticket for the seat next to mine said "bonjour", but that was about it. It wasn't a hostile thing, I think the French are not really that chatty of people.

Visit of the Moutarderie Fallot in Beaune:
Entering Beaune, I immediately noticed a difference. Although Lyon had some pretty narrow streets, Beaune's streets seemed even narrower. It looked much older too. Since we were early, we made a bathroom stop. It is very different using a public restroom here because you have to pay for it. Although …

This was our first cultural day in Lyon. Aurelie took us to Burgundy. We first got a tour of the mustard mill. It was really interesting, especially for me because my group's presentation was on the Edmond Fallot Mustard Mill. We learned about the history behind the company, and even tried to make mustard for ourselves! Afterwards, we went to the …

I lost my debit card at the Frankfurt Airport. That was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. Luckily, my wonderful professors and classmates allowed me to borrow money from them. The bus took us on a tour around the city. So when we arrived at the hotel, I instantly spoke to the front desk agent to call the ATM machine in Frankfurt and TD …

We arrived at Frankfort Airport where we had time until the next flight to Lyon. A few students and myself got a beer while being in Germany. We had a one hour flight to Lyon which we were then welcomed by Aurelie Szlachta who would be our guide and assistant for the next few days. We then boarded a tour bus and headed to the city of Lyon where we would get a tour then check into our hotel.
