They started running with me through the plaza to make sure I got to the correct street, and didn't want to waste time explaining the directions to me standing still-this was clearly an urgent, time sensitive issue. Once they felt confident I had caught my bearings and I had thanked them over my shoulder, they sent me off with dramatic waves and "Auvoir, Madame!" Helena couldn't sleep last night for excitement, knowing that we were going to a water park today! I ended up in her bed and she was with daddy....apparently she's a bed hog! I woke early at 6am and, as usual, was wide awake playing with my phone for a while. I was vaguely aware of the children giggling down the hall, but the next thing I knew, it was gone 9am and Louis was asking for his breakfast. How come that, now, I could barely open my eyes?!
We started the day with a walk to the village, which included a stroll past olive trees, lavender fields and vineyards. The day was extremely clear and ...

... by Laura and is quite true. But I shall finish my blog now :) So, I taught that same lesson several times that week and that day, and the students always had problems with the same words or phrases. Which is to be expected of course, but there was one class that I had on Thanksgiving that seemed to know all the answers! I was so impressed and kept asking if any of them had celebrated Thanksgiving before. For most of the class ...
