    ... but still are not sure as to what had gone wrong. They were very thankful that we were all going to the Pope's Palace for tea as the kitchen was down too.     ... end. Well 4 1/4 tonnes does not work well on grass, so we did the filling and emptying thing - wearing waterproofs which aren't in rain that heavy, and moved on. Bagnols sur Ceze isn't the prettiest town I've ever visited, but it provided a good secure and level park for the night. Plenty of shops and the rain did eventually stop in the early evening.     Monday we were up early and off to Avignon and Orange. Saw the Palais des papes and the pont d'Avignon (because I still remember the the nursery rhyme). Orange included the best preserved theatre in the ancient world, built in 1st century of BC.
