I would never have believed it but it's true, we are in France, Conty to be exact, why Conty, looooong story!!!!!! We left Canterbury this morning around 8.30am and it was a cold soupy kinda morning, you know the kind, murky can't see 3 feet (1mtr for you younguns) in front of you so we slowly toddled down the A28 to Dover. Sat in line with everyone else wanting to leave the cold climes of the UK for the cold climes of France ...
... We returned to the hotel and finished packing, then departed. While last night was completely crowded, with cars everywhere and no parking, this morning was quiet and calm. We headed out of town towards Chantilly, through the dense fog. I was glad no to be on the motorway, as the fog was so thick, but many people were driving slowly on the A roads. I think some fools would have been speeding along at 140kph on the motorway, leading to disaster.

Yesterday morning we got up and enjoyed a nice spread the French lady had laid out for us on the dinning table for breakfast. We downloaded a French speaking application on the iPad which really helped us at breakfast. We only had to mime half of the stuff now! After breakfast we met the owner of the chateau who could speak english but he came across a little creepy. Anyway he was nice enough to lend us some boots as we wanted to walk around the property and feed ...
