Stayed at the hotel for only a night, but was a decent hotel. Staff were friendly. It's just a quick drive away from the airport.

Its always a little awkward doing this wild camping thing. Its not officially illigal, but its definitely not somethig that parents teach their kids. When jan climbed out the tent this morning, he startled an early morning dog walker who wasnt quite sure what to make of the situation.
We packed up rather quickly after that, and breakfasted on the almighty coco-pops. Om-nom-nom! We never buy this **** at home, but on a bike tour, we can ...
... right feeling turned into pain, and then into alot of pain by the end of the day. I guess this made me a rather irritating travel partner to jan. Tough. It hurt.
At some point we decided we wanted pizza for lunch. Up until now weve been having light lunches and then cooking something heavy for dinner... saving money and what not. But today, because its sunday, and all the shops are closed, and we have no food, and ...

Dinner again at the Turkish place across the road. Early night and we head into Germany tomorrow.......past or maybe through the Black Forest. Will plot our course as we ...
... A lady in the town square was selling donuts so we bought some and it took so long to find a place to get lunch that by that time I had eaten 3 donuts!! Mon Dieu!! A Nanna nap (donut coma) was called for before we headed out for dinner. Our hotel caters for coach tours and so the restaurant at the hotel was full and very noisy so we opted for the Turkish restaurant across the road....for old times sake!!! Well it was fantastic and refreshingly cheap. ...
... br> The route home to Basel was mainly motorway, but I was able to ride over the Arlberg Pass in Austria which had lots of pretty views.
I stopped in Switzerland at the Lake of Walen where one can see great views of the emerald green lake with the imposing Churfirsten mountains behind - just a beautiful place to stop and rest for a bit.
I arrived home after a 4 1/2 hour ride and was happy to have arrived safely.
