Another day along the coast. The route took us away from the sea although we did find a great view across to Ile D'Oleron from near La Tranche sur Mer. A particular feature of the coast is the marshes (Marais with various water beds for oysters, nets for shrimps and shortly eels at Marans. ... These cows are grazing all along our way. I thought they were sheep. Took a bus (long ride) to our apartment on Rue Smith. What a cute, perfect little place complete with air and washing machine. ... English and my tourist French wasn't up to the task. I'm still not entirely sure what I ate for the starter course, which is what they call what we call appetizers. Not my favorite meal so far, by a long ways!

We enjoyed a light breakfast and a chat and then all got moving so we could make the most of our few hours left in Lyon. We headed to the subway( with a short stop to collect our tickets for the afternoon train to Grenoble ) then we were on our way.
