And then the supermarkets and local farmers markets laden with local wines, hams, pears, peaches, nectarines and melons.
Picnics in our cosy apartment have been the order of each day - sampling the local treats.
meals in cafés and restaurants have just been the icing on the cake!

Would we come back to Lyon? - definitely.

Such a lovely morning that we delay setting off and have a potter around Besancon. It is a really charming town and we will definitely come back again. ... I didn't know it was France's second largest city. The funny thing was the closer we got to the center of this amazing city, the easier the riding was, because they use designated lanes to be shared by bikes and busses.
