... to find the St Michael’s Gate which we had seen on a map but couldn’t find it in real life so gave up and decided it was food time, yes again! We were going to head to the pub recommended by the lady in the hostel but then came across a little restaurant off the square which we thought we’d try. We asked if they had a menu in English which they didn’t but they said they had a set menu of soup, some kind of stew with rice and pudding for 4 ...
Day 7 - Bratislava
Our contingent's luggage has expanded significantly. I hope that all the Infant Jesus will somehow miraculously lighten our load. The packed tram arrives and we struggle aboard with our belongings. There is little room for the Samsonites. The tram driver looks around to see what is delaying the departure. He looks ready to dump Papa Lucho, red in the face struggling to jiggle his bag between the feet of the commuters. Exasperated ...
