Early morning start to be on the 7.10 ferry.

Only 3 cars and one walk on passenger for the trip to Magnetic Island on Fantasea which took about 35 minutes. Sat inside to start with but then went outside as it was not as cold as I had expected. Very smooth trip over – the roughest bit was when we got the wash for the Sealink ferry …

Everyone in my room at rambutans was either German or French so conversation was a struggle. But yeah I got dinner, chilled by the pool and went to bed. The next morning I woke up, managed to keep my massive bag at the hostel, had an off-the-menu ultimately healthy smoothie from the guy at the cafe and a toastie. I don't know what was in it, it was green and looked disgusting but it tasted super good. Yum. The ferry over was only 20 mins which was speedy ...

I only meant to think it! Later this arvo,we went for a walk across the paddock past the school and through a gate in the fence. What a vista awaited us. The grass ...

... short walkway down to one of the most perfect postcard beaches I’ve ever seen. Aside from the 12 or 13 of us, it was pretty much deserted. Palm trees and jungle lined the white sandy beach, and the water was crystal clear. We only had an hour there, so I went exploring rather than sunbathing. I found some massive dead crayfish and some cool multi-coloured crabs (alive) in the rocks. There was a moment where I walked far enough round the beach that I couldn’t see anyone and I ...

... to add to the visual experience they had added laser lights to the equation, these had not only colour but patterns as well, a truly amazing visual experience The show didn't start until it was dark then all lighting in the area was turned off so the full effect of this laser light and twisting turning bodies could be fully experienced. Another day draws to a close and tomorrow it's off for another adventure moving ever south from ...
