The following day was our Great Barrier Reef trip, ensuring that all the necessary seasick tablets had been taken the night before and in the morning, glad we did as the sea was quite choppy. So glad I did move to this hostel, as it was much livelier, so much fun, and beautiful views over the sea from all the cabins. This place was more like a resort for backpackers with a stunning pool over looking the sea, bar with lots of music and booze (very important) and lovely individual huts overlooking the views. Great feeling ...

Friday morning we went to The Strand which is a walkway on the beach front which goes for about 3km they have a salt water pool which they pump the water through and keep out the jellyfish, a park with a flying fox and all along the strand they have a fitness circuit, more parks, cafes and then the kids came to the water park and for them this was heaven after riding their scooters for so long.
