    ... it seems like the animals were just here for our entertainment. The guy was knowledgeable and funny however he often uses the animals in his jokes. As in having them in his hands and shouting to scare someone. We got to hold various reptiles and even a koala which was pretty cool but I couldn't help noticing he was pretty rough with the animals, however they didn't seem to care. At the end they gave us all moist bread which attracted all the wild lorikeets. This was pretty cool ...

    ... road down to Radical Bay had pot holes of which I had never seen the size of before, not to mention the steep hills all the way through. The lady at YHA who recommend we check it out did suggest we should only attempt this in a 4x4, but Piers was adamant he could get us there - and he did! How we never broke down or got trapped in one of these pot holes is beyond me, but we managed it.

    ... at around 2 as we were pretty drunk. It was a great unexpected first night though! However, without surprise, we are now very hungover, so a chill day ahead is planned, and a chilled night this evening because we have a busy day ahead of us tomorrow.     ... but we were with a pretty big group) all we wanted to do was check-in, shower and sleep. Allas, check-in wasn't untill 1, so we decided to go to subway to get some lunch, maccers to get an icecream and then return to our hostel to moan about how tired and dirty we felt. After we were all clean and a bit more rested we all met again at the restraunt next to our hostel for the free bbq (okay and maybe happyhour).
