French Riviera or more accurately Cote d'Azur (blue coast) is essentially the South-west to North-eastern Mediterranean coastline of France from Cassis all the way to Monaco and further to Ventimiglia in Italy. Nice is the de facto central hub of the French Riviera.

We took a train from Paris early morning and arrived at Cannes by early afternoon. Shilpa's college friend Kuljinder (Raju) lives in a village called Mougins ...

to find some pasta before last orders at 8pm (on a Saturday night!) at a cafe.

There are some really expensive shops and also some really cheap ****** ones like Bali. The weather is so nice though. Yesterday it was so hot so today we thought we would go back to the beach for the rest of the day but when we waked outside it was raining. We just kept our bathers on and ...

... so we were to have two stops on the way. No where special unfortunately. We usually pull into these auto grill places that are like a supermarket crossed with a servo plus a food thingy. We watched casino royale on the trip down and then just napped basically! We did get interesting information on Spain in general and the Barcelona region and for all these major stops as well as the info we get a map and 'John's most excellent tips for..' Fact sheets. We also learn ...
