    ... with a glance around the city. The city now mostly looks like an 18th to 19th century city. Houses are huddled together amidst steep rocks, and a monastery up on the hillside is quite the picture.

    ... to Bucharest. And I fell asleep again, all the way to the border. Not doing too well today!! The border was a little slow this time, a long queue of cars. But we were soon back in Romania and then back into Bucharest. We were dropped off at the hotel just after 7pm and went up to our room for a lay down.     ... deck outside before retiring to a "great room" to view a documentary about the Tour D'Afrique, a 4 month bike journey from Cairo to Capetown. We visited the fortress which is kind of interesting, bought some pottery, drank the best tea of my life, and ate a ridiculous amount of shopska salata (Bulgarian for shopska salad, duh) from a balcony overlooking the old city.
