Thomas Barcovicz picked us up in Csorna and we drove to Szarfold to visit Ettus (Ethol Varga), Mary Puhl's niece. After visiting Ettus, we drove onward to visit John Balka, his daughter Eva and his son Ernest. Yoland, who was John's wife, is a sister to Ettus. Mom was immersed in the language and had to relearn her words quickly. Vicki has been a great help in that she has been schooled in the English language and has been able to translate for us to a certain degree.
