... which is ace because I've not met anyone coming from that way as of yet. A thousand photos later and I've just hopped off the return boat to the mainland. It's so peaceful and beautiful here and again I've been so lucky with the weather. This is my perfect climate - it's quite brisk, but the sun is shining. I could sit here forever. Alas, Ljubljana and a free "concert night" at the hostel call my name. Side note: LOL I just saw someone get bitten by a swan. ...

... green fields flanked by hills and mountains and a lone farmer in a horse drawn wooden cart, hauling hay to the barn. Unfortunately we were travelling too fast to line up the right shot, but it will remain indelible in our memories. If you tack on another 30 mins it would roughly be the duration to travel the entire length of the country. The cave tour began with a 10 minute walk through the ...

... home we took a detour to a small rural hotel in the outskirts of Ljubljana to have dinner prepared by the owner/chef, Martin, who our friends had befriended on a previous occasion. I don't know if it's a tradition in the Slovenian hospitality industry, but the walls in the foyer of the hotel were completely covered in photos of Martin with attractive women! Miss Slovenia pageants, local and international female celebrities and what appeared to be bikini models. Regardless, ...

We set off in rain and before we reached Bled there was bright sunshine which made the lakes and mountains even more stunning than they were already. Totally blown away by the contrast from the city this stunning town is well worth a return trip in the spring with walking boots. Bled had a beautiful lake and ...
