... to make a loop. But we weren’t sure if Casey and any others would be arriving later, so we hiked in the opposite direction to maybe run into them. We hiked the upper trail which follows an old roadbed upstream along Little Stony Creek high above. It’s up on a ridge above the creek, so we couldn’t see the creek while hiking, but there were some nice rock formations along the trail. We also saw a cute little chipmunk on some ...

He has a beautiful wife and 4 wonderful children with her plus another son adopted from the wife's family after the mother's and grandmother's opiate addictions landed the kid in foster care. He lives in a double wide trailer in Ashcamp, KY but his true passion is only 15 miles away in Breaks ...

... and his friends are planning to walk across America from VA to Cali. They want to take a train across TX so they don't get shot walking on the wrong persons land. They are about 2 weeks into the trip and already stopped for a week long break to recover. I wish them luck but think they are in over their heads. I like these new hostels for their convenience, price and general restful attitude. But I also still look forward to pub crawling at my next normal hostel ...
