We had a nice drive to Marion, Virginia and Camp Burson Campground. We have a very nice pull-thru spot with full hook ups and pretty good wifi:) So we are good to go!!

Marion has lots of fast food places for a small town. They even have a Walmart but it closes at midnight. There is Hwy 16 that goes thru the park and it is called the Back of the Dragon, instead of the Tail of the Dragon. It is a very curvy road and lots ...

Two hours into our trip...and BANG...a rock hits our windshield! This is my first windshield crack in 10+ years in my faithful car (affectionately named "Justin"....don't laugh). ... for a bit, and I did, got swept by a current and got sucked under by a wirlpool FUN! there where also parts when the current would take us towards a boulder and then we would think we would hit it, then carry us away and towards another rock. Whilst we where swimming. The instructor also showed us a picture of when they go fishing in the river we was in - didn't realise 2 1/2ft long catfish was swimming under us!
