    ... at about 9pm last night and got through to 6am this morning - 9 hours ! Almost a record for me. Must have been tired. We are all feeling much better this morning. Temperatures still up - 32 degrees at 6am - but less dust and much clearer today.

    Got on the move about 9:30am and headed for Atlantis Hotel on the Palms. Great aquarium and hotel presentation. Then went to Souk Madinat near Burj al Arab. This souk was new when we first saw it ...

    Flew into Dubai from London. Landed around 7am. Flying into Dubai was interesting because you could see all the oil platform rigs in the Persian Gulf and the oil ships floating around. Its like looking at an ocean of underground cash crop. Dubai was interesting to fly into. It was somewhat reminiscent of Vegas, a dessert with a massive city built into it. ...
