    ... made the train but had a longer search for two seats together for the ride home. It was unfortunate we didn't end up with time to see any of the historical part of Zurich - but that's how it goes with travel sometimes.     Thursday MamaD, Monika, and I visited the wife of my uncle Rudi. Uncle Rudi died suddenly last January and Elisabeth is a dear and lovely woman. She is also an accomplished cook and an elegant lady. We were spoiled to a fabulous lunch and afterwards went for a lovely walk. The wind was bitter once we came upon the meadow and we had to head back.

    This morning, we awoke to our alarm at 8, with our roommates getting up at the same time. Mom and I headed off to the shower, and when we got back, our roommates were almost packed up and out the door. As soon as they left, we started rearranging our suitcases to fit our laundry back in them. We were packed up and headed to breakfast by 9:45.
