Overnight we cruised from Tunis to Palma de Mallorca arriving about midday and after having lunch we took the shuttle bus to get us into the centre of town. We had considered walking as they were charging €25 for a return for two which we thought expensive for a 10 minute bus ride. However it is a captured market and it was a good walk. ... hope I will always remember it. Climbing back up from the coast was just as fun and at points it really felt like we were in the clouds and on top of the mountains. We had a great view of the sunset from the mountains. When back to Palma, I took James to the Mexican place from a few weeks ago (tapas is great, but I'm starting to look like patatas bravas...!). ... very rocky with no sand. We braved cooling off in the sea, which was great, but getting in and out of the water was anything but graceful - even for the girls! We escaped without slipping and breaking anything and headed to Port de Soller. I wanted to see the sunset here another time before heading home - we missed the sun actually going behind the hills, but the colour of the sky was still beautiful and we chilled with a jug of sangria for an hour ...
Hola, we land in Mallorca and pick up our car. Dave wanted a medium-sized car, so we got something that seemed equal to a limo in size. This should be interesting.
We stop @ Portals Nous for lunch and see how the rich and famous live. The small "boats " are minimum 150' in length. We look around in our restaurant and surprise, we are younguns compared to the rest of the clientele.
