In total we have walked/ visited "seven!" xmas markets in Cologne,, the city has put on a magnificent show.. from the city centre..Cologne is located on both sides of the Rhine River... to the riverside markets.. the visit to this city of one million plus has delighted us...

When it finally pulls into Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof, I have just over an hour until my flight leaves. No more cakes for Del
A bit of a change of pace for our blog entries this time. For those of you who do not know, one week prior to leaving on our trip Del was diagnosed as having Celiac Disease. This means a gluton free diet forever. It is more than a mere fad diet or an intolerance - it must become a way of life.

Rude receptionists questioning our wealth (a.k.a. can we afford to stay there and for no obvious reason) and talking shit behind our backs and laughing at us etc. highly unprofessional things. Probably gave us the worst room with a long-ish walk to there and a dangerous bathroom. Luckily it was only for a little rest before the flight.
