    Rennes and the Mont Saint Michel

    ... ride to get to Mont St Michel. Once there its a 2k walk on the board walk to get to MSM. You can take a free bus, but walking is better for me. This is one very cool place. The small cobble-stoned streets are wonderful. The Abbey is just incredible. Entrance to the Abbey is 9 euro, which i thought was a little high, that was until i started the tour.     Woke up this morning forgetting that we'd moved to the other side of the road and wondered why people were walking down the middle of the road then realised that they were on the pavement.

    What I thought was good yesterday when I saw it was a big wheely bin. Why you may ask? Well, obviously the local authority realised that as there were so many vans parked up here there would be a need for rubbish disposal and so had provided a bin.

    We were to set off for Rennes today and then make our way to Villers-sur-Mer tomorrow. Instead I stayed at home and Mike went to Rennes himself. He spent the night in the camping car locked in the car park of ADS Loisir. We were to have a Gaslow tank fitted on the Friday morning.

    Although the roads were wet, the scenery and road standards were good.

    Although it's easy creating a tailor made route, it's a bit like doing a 'join the dots' puzzle and in between the dots the programme just fills in the gaps - and that could be anything. It's a bit difficult to get everything bang on over a route covering 100+ ...

    ... ashes, old bones, remains of burnt wicker baskets or Elmer lying in wait with a cosh. All clear.
    I ask you, why have a massive lock on the outside of a bog when there was clearly no inside lock. The bog was a Twyfords original with no seat but I didn’t care. Needless to say I left the door open and took the key out.
