... Ms. Smartypants left the security area and headed for our next gate without me, figuring I was just being my usual slow me and would just catch up. So, I headed off in search of my travel mate.

But she was nowhere to be found. Back and forth for about 20 minutes I searched. A couple of the security guys were amused that I’d lost my wife. I wasn’t. This just can’t be good, I thought.

... even including this sad and personal event in our travel blog but she was a special lady and deserves to be celebrated. Her own 'cruise' from Liverpool to Canada those many years ago probably cured her of any need for extended travel but she was always encouraging our own adventures (if somewhat apprehensive as to some of the predicaments I would lead her precious daughter into).

... items checked off! That night, we had an Argentinian dinner and went to an amazing cocktail bar - No. 9. We hit the bed early and Kevin and I got up the next morning to do a 7 mile run up to the Park Guell, an amazing lookout over the entire city of Barcelona. After our run, we checked out, did a little shopping - or window shopping before leaving the 60 degree weather to head skiing!

We will definitely be back to Barcelona and would recommend it to ...

... my review in a nut shell...nice reclinable seats...super wide leg room...charging plug....free ear phones...ceiling tv monitor...smooth ...fast and quiet ride! There are attendants that offer drinks (not free!) during the train ride just like in the plane. Bathroom is super clean with hand dryer instead of paper towels. Lots of space for luggages and carry-ons. Hi-tech glass monitor that shows the destination, ...

... after a couple of hours of exhausting touring and singlet buying, we decided to head back for a well earned dip and relax! We walked back a different way that was a little more direct. Daniel chose to wear thongs into town today, a wise choice that led to them rubbing on his foot, forming a blister, popping that blister, and then rubbing some more, causing him some tremendous pain (whinger).
