After trying to explain and showing photos he said in reasonable English he was not a Pilote dealer, they were a mile down the road! ... catastrophe!! When we arrived at our B&B, we opened the gate into the garden and there was our hostess, a skinny, quite old woman lying on a chaise longue smoking!! She is very pleasant and our room is in a separate little building, door opening straight into the garden (no stairs!!!) and very light and airy and characterful!! ... Fete, and a walk around the town. The fete is in a newly renovated hall, and is well attended, with lots of people arriving from different villages. We have read the signs for it, saying it is a three-course meal, including a chicken main course. The poultry part of the menu is provided by a mobile rotisserie in a van, similar to what we have seen at the markets.
