We opened the windows early to enjoy the fresh air, sounds of church bells and horse and carts clip clopping along the street. Enjoyed a leisurely and decadent breakfast (again) before retreating to the room to do some washing and planning for the next couple of days. ... reason housekeeping wanted to start early and they claim they knocked. Really? Neither of us heard it and Vernon has pretty good hearing - the hotel explained that it was too early and they should not be doing rooms then anyway and apologised again.
Quite annoying as it simply should not have happened and I am selective as to who I am exposed to:-)

... it really was a spectcular view. We were glad we came here after Markt in Bruges, although the Markt in Bruge was beautiful, we thought we would have been somewhat disappointed after seeing Grand Place.
