... was nice. Finally we decided we wanted to be able to get up in the morning and walk on a Florida Beach. So we drove to Pensacola Florida. In the morning, after breakfast, we will check out and go to the beach. I can't wait to walk along the beach, holding hands with my husband tomorrow. It will be a relaxing morning. Than off we go to our next adventure! Here's a hint... We will be seeing bears and falcons :-) Till ...

I fell asleep to it. But there was no thunder…until this morning. We went to breakfast which was included and fabulous. All fresh food and chefs preparing eggs/omelets and cute little baby waffles. Lots of fruit and fresh juices too along ...

Wichita Falls, and Fort Worth. Then a
few stops in Louisiana and on to Pensacola, FL.
We were lucky enough to get a great campsite at Fort Pickens National
Park in Pensacola on Sunday, 8/31, the day before Labor Day. There were miles of beaches with super soft,
pure white sand that squeaked when you walked on it. We moved on to Grayton Beach State Park ...

The #1 Beach in the USA, the Mezes and Johnson

Despite our abysmal trip through Alligator Alley we had a lovely drive as we headed north out of Florida. Once on the gulf coast Lew and I decided to stop at Siesta Key. The key is proudly adorned with signs proclaiming it the #1 Beach in the USA. It was quite beautiful, but none of the beaches were dog friendly. That leaves it's rankings far below the #1 ranking it boasts, but I'll post photos and allow you to decide for yourself.

After an interminable ...
