    ... Monkey enclosure. We have been to a lot of zoos around the world but the rumours proved to be correct about San Diego zoo, the environment the animals have is superior to any we have ever seen. One of my favourite bits of information was that the polar bears' water was set to 55 degrees Fahrenheit, 14 degrees higher than the arctic as they had become real San Diegans and got used to the amazing temperatures in this part of the world. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the orca show, as our timing wasn't right, and by the afternoon Phoebs and Blakey were too over it to hang around for the later show.
