We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

wrong turn out of the airport and went on a magical mystery tour of Corfu Town
with its winding traffic choked roads and one way streets. With no idea
where we were going and Al's first experience driving on the wrong side of the
road and with a manual and no understanding of traffic rules, needless to say
the veins were pulsing out ...
