Have moved to the coastline we are seeing a very different Turkey a lot more tour groups with huge crowds everywhere. Enjoying the coastal towns Kas is a great little place where I could spent more time. Spending the day on a boat is so relaxing. less than a week left in Turkey then heading to Paris. Have enjoyed seeing different parts of this great country. Can't wait to come back one ...

Being retired, I don't often leave the house at 7am so was surprised at the amount of traffic, but we only had to get to friends about 30 minutes away who had offered to let me leave the car there and take us to the airport which was a perfect start.

My last day in Turkey. Got up early to enjoy my last day I Turkey. I had to go to another hotel for the free breakfast and I am glad I did because I met another solo traveler. I can't remember her name. Oops. But she is from Belgium and speaks 7 languages! Impressive. We had both heard of a waterfall in Antalya and decided to go together after wondering around the old city for a bit. I'm glad we went together, we had a map of where to go, but it did us little to no good. ...

... The entire mountainsides crumbled downwards from the earthquakes, and after some time, the sea filled this area with water. Our boat has 2 glass bottom sections (small!) to view the sunken city. You can see Lycian broken clay pottery jars that were once used to carry water and wine and a few remnants of rock walls.
