Recovering

Decided to clump together the last few days as not really got much to tell woke up in hospital after a terrible nights sleep and the doctor came around and said that I could go home but had to wait until I had been in there for 24 hours so Ian came and got me and we got a taxi back to the room which cost 74 pounds the ripping off monster. But hoping can keep the reciepts and claim it back when we speak to ...

Disaster Strikes!

... in my eye as its bust open and I have cuts and grazes on my face from the rocks and also the biggest black eye you have ever seen its madness. As a precortion they decided to keep me in hospital overnight as I had a head injury and they wanted to make sure that I was ok. So I spent the night in a mad croatian hospital on my own but was brave and kept having nurses putting injections in my **** all evening.

... to the heart of the city. On your way, a stop at the the Miramare Castle is an absolute must, not only because of its historical value, but because you will be able to admire its beautiful park filled with tropical tree and plant species.

Once you enter the city, enjoy a relaxing, slow-paced stroll through history and modern times, just like a local would do! The Borgo Teresiano with its Canale Grande, the Ghetto and the Old Town, Piazza ...

... Theres a constant flow of shuttle buses if you want them. This was our hotel splurge, so of course we had a leakz ceiling and malfunctioning bathroom and broken lights. Bills comment was we are closer to Italy, they stop caring so much.

Ive decided Italians make up the constant flow of malfunctions by having marvelous food. We went to this back alley (the whole town is either harbor, squares = trgs, or back alleys) restaurant we read about ...

... the islands...and istria is all about. So in my opinion the istria region should definitely be top of your list, especially rovinj though its really not the easiest to get to! No trains only buses and no real direct lines...well thats kinda all croatia im finding...unfortunately transportation hassles are just part of traveling. At least its worth it when you make it there!

Istrian cave: Feštinsko kraljevstvo

... cave to be open for public, a large project was initiated. With certain amount of financial aid for the realization of the project and with significant own investment, the cave was cleaned up, and its trails and lighting were tended to. It is worth visiting.

The temperature in the cave is between 13 and 14 degrees throughout the whole year and you might even catch a glance of a bat or a small “albino” crab.

... again...way too much food and eating etc. Serious diet exercise plan coming up!! I really don't understand how the Italian people are so skinny! Alda tells me (and I can see in many people) that there is big problems with too many skinny girls. But I don't understand how?! This place is the home of pasta and ice cream...?!!!?! Anyway, after leaving Patti's house a few hours later, I went for a little drive with Robert and his family, and they took ...

... up on a small beach near Italian border. It is not very nice place but we decide to stay as it is not possible to continue driving in this heat. There are a lot of ants, but very big ones, strange freaky sea weed in the sea, so we just read to the ants, sunbathe, wait until the temperature goes down.

In the evening we continue our way to Venice. Just after we pass ...

Mauro guided us to the far end of town where the new hotel was being built. Directly across from a National park where locals were biking, swimming and enjoying the beautiful woods. We then dropped Father and Tyler back to the tender to head back to the ship.

When we were watching an American TV show about Indians, one of Marlon's friends came over and tried to converse with me - in the end it was just easier for the conversation to be translated. The first and only full day I had in Porec, I was determined to make the most of. Marlon was ...
