Well as you will see things as usual on this trip did not work out.
I packed my boxes and went outside into the wonderful fresh air to load up the bike. It did not feel too cold but my poor bike was covered in ice and on looking at the temp gauge it was indicating the temp was a fresh little -2 Celsius.

For supper we walked into town on the walking path to Hotel Gasthof Brau between 5 and 10 minutes. We actually took a tunnel under the railroad tracks to get to the walking path. ... to attempt to capture the incredible scenery that greeted our eyes in literally every direction. Huge towering cliffs - lots of beautiful colors in the rock faces - lush greenery - cows grazing. Just amazing!

Arrived back at the hotel around two o'clock. Might be time for some lunch. :-). So we walked through the town of Alba to this pizza place we had noticed on the way home! Great pizza over here. Very thin crust - cooked in a wood oven - really tasty! And of course, pizza goes ...
