... has central heating and is absolutely cosy. 23.10.14 Left the safety of our warm and comfy Pension this morning, out on the road into pouring rain, sleet. It did not take long for the temperature to drop and the snow to start, we stopped for a coffee after being kept to 80 kmh maximum on the autobahn due to water on the road and poor visibility we needed a break. We had a great coffee and when we got outside the ground was slippery with ice, wow that was quick. Then Bruce ...

... with the weather conditions. Time to leave the schnitzel and streudel behind and head for the pizza and gelato. Saturday18th October An early start this morning to get to the station to catch the 7.45am bus to Salzburg. Mornings certainly are cooling off and it was good to get on the bus. From the late 1700's they began to decorate the skulls and write the name of the person and date year of death on them it is quite a strange display, though not macabre as at the Killing Fields in Cambodia. Went to the museum that had an excellent display of various aspects of the mining and ...

Friday 10th October Leisurely breakfast this morning and time to catch up on news before catching the bus to Bad Ischl, about 70 km east of Salzburg. Bus journey was through lovely green pastures with plenty of cattle grazing. Even saw some with bells on! Stopped at a lovely little village Fuschl on the most picturesque lake. Such an idyllic view. Bus only went as far as St Gilgen (on another lake) so had to wait about half an hour to ...
