... 20 years ago as it is right in the centre of Austria, but not recently. The ladies on the bus were horrified and most indignant. ... the area through from Celts, Romans, Germans etc to present day. Walked back along one of the upper 'roads', really just a walkway. Again, narrow due to the lack of flat land and what helps give the town it's uniqueness. This is a most interesting and beautiful town. Walked up the valley to our accommodation. The interior just as lovely as any other Austrian guesthouse we have stayed at. The ceiling in the restaurant is hand carved and interesting to study. Lovely meal ...

Although it was the most perfect day there was not a lot happening there as most businesses and hotels have closed for the season.
