... had been well worth the effort. The space inside is enormous and with many great bridges and viewing platforms it was hard to believe the business of the beach was only 45mins away above ground.
We would certainly recommend going to Piran, we loved the weather, the sea and the relaxing holiday atmosphere of the place. This is now easily my #1 pick of the trip so far. A place I definitely want to return too, perhaps on a super yacht next time ...

After dropping off our shopping at the apartment we decided to explore Rovinj by day and go to the rocky headland beneath the main church where the locals relax and swim. evening meals in nook and cranny restaurants. The centre piece of the old town is the clock tower which is lit up and every lane leads up to it so you can’t get lost, we like this place!
