Wednesday August 6th

We are up and off early from Icici for a ride down the spectacular Istrian coast. No breakfast at the camping ground so we are on the lookout for a likely cafe. And we soon find it. We look down from the outside balcony at the quite stunning, unspoilt Adriatic coastline as we get to grips with big ham and cheese toasties washed down with black tea.

... so were tall. The Romans brought olive trees & vines to Pula & they are very evident today. Sitting in the Colosseum was a thrilling experience. From Pula we took the train to Lapograv then bus through to Rijeka. ... spas,sport venues. Pula has the feel of an Italian seaside town. Food, speech also have Italian influences.
Passed the renovation of a stone church- Santa Maria Formoda built in 6th century. Strolled along the waterfront with a beautiful gold sunset. Cranes were quiet in the busy shipbuilding yard. Dinner at same restaurant - complimentary nibbles with drinks, then Stephen enjoyed pork medallions & I loved the seafood risotto. ...

Today was the perfect day! This is what Croatia is all about: taking a boat, seeing the coast from the sea side, swimming in caves, swimming along the rocks watching fish and other animals in the sea, enjoying the beautiful coast from the sea side,... OMG I love Croatia!! Afterwards we went to the beach where we enjoyed the sun on our skin. In the evening we went to the same restaurant in Pula as a few days ago. Then it was time to sleep as tomorrow our journey back home ...
