... my great-uncle Albert who lived in Leipzig, and some cousins who share my last name who still live in the former East Berlin. But today is Friday, so I will have to return someday.

We left the prison, and wandered through the Penny supermarket across the parking lot. There were even a few spaces marked with the familiar blue "P" symbol, set aside for customers to tie up their dogs while shopping.

... after a bit of train/line swapping we came to Acton East station. A relatively short walk of about 15 mins and we came to 10 Ashfield Rd. Lovely couple, Alex and Steffens, and a beautiful room. Spotless and modern (apparently recently renovated, along with the rest of the house. Down to the Goldsmith's Arms on Acton Lane for tea, a spot of shopping at Tesco's on Uxbridge Rd. Then back home to flick the TV around and in bed by 10pm. Haven't quite determined what to do tomorrow, ...

... Absolutely fantastic. Can't believe the whole thing floats, there's so much to see. Theatres, dining rooms, buffet areas, shops, and not to mention the hundreds of cabins/staterooms. Truly amazing. So Glen and I had a little bite to eat and then went to the fitness centre for a little look and muck around. Then all of a sudden it was tea time. ... and really enjoyed the people we met this way. Of course the main thing we were excited about with this cruise was not the ship but rather the places that we were going to visit along the way. The first stop on the cruise was Rostock, Germany where we arrived on the next day after boarding.
