We spent the morning at the salt mine. The tour starts with putting coveralls on. We then went on a mini train. If you were taller than 6 feet you have to be careful because there is not much headroom. The tunnels are very narrow. You start the tour by sliding down a 50 foot wooden slide to the mine. They explain how they mine the salt. There use to be a salt water ocean 14 million years ago that evaporated ...

We spent the day in Salzburg, about 30 km from Ramsau. After breakfast we headed to a park and ride on the outskirts of Salzburg and took the bus into downtown. Parking is crazy and expensive in the tourist area. It was only about 15 minutes into town. The shops, churches and fortress were amazing. Everything is expensive. We didn't buy much. We toured the cemetery by St. Peter's church and ...

There was one pup on the ferry to the castle and was doing very well on the boat. Off to Salzburg tomorrow. Photos ...

He took off and we stood at the bus stop deliberating our options and along came a taxi, what luck, piled in and headed for home, but wait is our taxi driver the shuttle driver ????? Oh well, thank god for multi tasking austrians.

    Howdy folks,

We woke up on our last morning in Berchtesgaden feeling a little sore, but pretty good. We didn't have much on the list to do, just driving up to Salzburg and stopping at Bad Reichenhall on the way. So after we got up and got the car packed, we jumped in the car.

    And nothing happened...

The motor didn't turn over, there were warning lights on and we weren't going anywhere. It is never a ...
