... was presented in a very interactive way. I read a little sign in one of the town centres that spoke of the devastation to Belgium and it's people during WWI. In 1915, over 5,000 Belgians fled to France for safety from the Germans. ... ferry to another part of the city. We then walked around the Jordaan area. Apparently Adele andBrad Pitt own homes here. It is a beautiful area and very quiet. I made a day trip out to Haarlem, another smaller canal town. Less tourists and beautiful homes. I saw the Amsterdam forest, which is man made and only 60 years old! They had a petting zoo with horses, pigs and goats. Reminded me of home :) The next day I went to a Jazz Club that is part of a brewery so I got to sample ...
