... The Arc was great to see, but we were both exhausted at this point, so the pictures will be a good reminder of its details.
For dinner, we did not have McD's, we had Marco Polo. Ryan ate a bucket of mussels (moules) and fries and I had an overdressed by a half cup salad. Other than the ocean of dressing it had, salmon, shrimp, calamari and veggies. Okay for me, really good dinner for Ryan.
... liked was all the people sitting on the walls on the banks with a bottle of wine and snacks and just having a relaxing night in Paris. If we had another night there I would have done the same thing. Maybe we will do that down at the Torrens……not quite the same though I expect!
On to the Moulin Rouge from here! So exciting! We had average seats but it didn’t matter, the room isn’t that big so we could see everything. The only problem was we were tucked ...
... a whole day to that marvelous place) but it felt like I was taken back in time and there were some pieces so beautfiul you could barely take your eyes off them. I must say however that the most striking piece was most certainly the Venus de Milo. She was so beautiful and as I walked towards her, down a long corridor (dedicated almost entirely to her) she seemed to stare right at me. (pictures to follow when I can get them up)

... dazzled. Arriving at Hotel Lyon Mulhouse, I discarded my bags and set out on foot, phrase book and map in hand, for a whirlwind first day. My route took me to Place de Los Vosges and on to one of Paris' islands, Il de la Cite, which is home to Notre Dame. There I met Daniel (Dan-ee-elle), an older gentleman who was intent to show me some of the details, though he spoke no English and I spoke no French. We found out we both spoke Spanish (me poorly ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France cindywillis... size bed for the both of us. We also have a little sink and a bidet in our room. Oh and there's some smell we can't quite identify too. Then after we settle our stuff in we go to meet Becka's friend Jules. He's from Paris and so he was going to meet us for lunch. He was awesome and pretty much France's Next Top Model. He knew how to speak English but didn't speak it the whole time, which was great because we got a lot of practice. After lunch he took us to his parent's ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France mamakarpus... enormous building, soaking up the history of Paris and the beauty of the hotel Carnavalet. Our final destination before heading back was the Jewish quarter, le Marais. Students separated into small groups and made their way through narrow, winding cobblestone roads, stopping along the way to appreciate a warm crepe, a kebab, the world-famous tea houses, etc. On our way to the metro we took a slight detour to admire l'Hotel de Ville and the ...
Paris, France paris2008... massive with cinq stories. We all enjoyed the expostion speciale 'From Cezanne to Picasso - Masterpieces from the Vollard Gallery" with audio tour. Ambroise Vollard was an art dealer who played a decisive role in the evolution of art in Paris at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. He had an unerring ability to to identify, exhibit and support the work of talented unknown artists. His flair and vision led him to Cezanne ...

Paris, France jilliangwen... not. Small, but there really is something about her. Also quickly went and saw the Venus Di Milo. Got some pics of the statues, but not Mona. After the Louvre we went to Notre Dame Cathedral. I lit a candle and wrote in the prayer book - dedicated it all to my family back home. The candle I did for me and for my beautiful God daughter Evie. After Notre Dame we headed back to the hotel as Rach was ...
Paris, France lozdotcom... Lisa which wasn't that great, there were too many people around for it to be good, and it just wasn't as impressive as everybody made it out to be. After the Louvre I went to Charles Garnier's L'Opera House which is the greatest building that I've ever seen it is amazingly beautiful inside. My pictures won't give it justice, it's another building that you have to experience.
