We made it to Switzerland and met our program director Steven. He seems like a lot of fun and is very personable. Last nights camping was eventful! I was woken in the middle of the night by loud snoring...when I looked to see who it was I discovered a hedgehog ! It had snuck in the tent section where you can keep bags and was snoring so loudly!! ... packed with healthy looking sunbathers (not the place to display our glowing stomachs). Nevertheless, it was lovely to be back by the sea again as we planned the next couple of days ahead. Day one, we discovered that 3/4 of the main walking path linking the Cinque Terre villages was closed. ... back to the station and catch my next train ....hopefully my next destination in the mountains will be a bit cooler ...fingers crossed !!
