    ... a magnificent sound system, all form part of this spectacular show. Many of the cast are volunteers and there are just 28 performances each year over the summer SO book your tickets early!!! Maybe we should become the Australian representatives for Le Puy du Fou!!

    ... an audience of a few thousand people.

    Les Vikings was a show telling of the arrival of the Vikings in a French village. Animals were used again, including well trained dogs who were 'attacking' the Vikings as they started to plunder the village. There were stuntmen falling from buildings, being dragged behind horses and being killed in sword fights. A Viking Ship rose up from the river with people on board, standing upright - how did they do ...

    ... to see such diverse uses of this beautiful countryside all in a short drive.
    I was in this town on way South in May so I knew choices were limited for sustenance but Sundays are even worse. Two bars open and both were going to be closed at 18:00 after paying €10.60 for a large and a small beer....sacre bleu!
    The parks by the river were thronged on this glorious Sunday afternoon, family picnics, cyclists and fishermen on the banks ...

    ... br> Nantes, a city on the Loire River in the Upper Brittany region of Western France, is quite large and very modern city and with that comes traffic especially about 4:00pm on a Saturday and the hotel was right in the middle - there were trams, raised cycle lanes down the middle of the road which were twice the width of the lanes for the other vehicles.

    We didn't go out until a bit later this evening and I needed a cash point - easier ...

    ... br> It was a major submarine base during WW2 built by the Germans, in the an enormous and imposing concrete bunker.



    Opposite the bunker was a fairly new cinema - so that worked out well....
