... that just went up and up and up! Such incredible 360 view of Frankfurt though- totally worth it and great photos! We went inside the Cathedral itself too which was beautiful and were able to light candles together :) Beate took us out for hot drinks and then as it gets dark quite early here we took the train home again. We'd had such a big lunch we had a light dinner and tried German pretzels!!! Such a treat! Today we both woke up very early so clearly the ...

We ate authentic schnitzel with the most scrummy mushroom sauce. We ended up walking around the Christmas markets with Beate her friend. We also visited the cathedral tower which meant that we had to climb 328 spiralling stairs. The ...

Like no ...

Despite my best attempts to keep an eye on when we changed countries, at some point we crossed from The Netherlands and into Germany. Sadly there was no fanfare whatsoever. I expected high fives, an applause, even a PA announcement saying we'd crossed into Germany, but nothing. It's like nothing happened. Personally I was so excited inside; ...

... is a bit of a drag. But not the end of the world. Going through security they spotted my battery pack. I was sure that would be gone but no, it turned out to be ok. Pretty long line at Frankfurt immigration. Somehow they put me in the slow Asian line. I spotted a Chinese woman we a face mask. I couldn't resist pointing out to her that this isn't Peking. After getting into ...
