    ... really early here - 4:30 a.m. and goes down at 6:30 p.m. They do not do daylight savings time here. The sun is very bright and beautiful.     ... wait, boarded the train. I have gotten extremely fond of these Shinkansen. One reserves a ticket, gets a seat with plenty of room even for my overgrown legs, a power point nearby to charge any device, and there is even the frequent passing by of attendants with drinks and snacks.

    Made a short stop in Bebai just outside of Saporro so Thom could have a few private moments with the plane, but not before the gaggle of reporters and photographers waiting for us to land got their interviews.     ... Bay where we could almost not find our hotel, but it was beautifully located on a small hill overlooking the Matsushima bay with the small islands.

    We immediately were exploring the island that was accessible by the bridge and to capture some of the pictures when the sun was setting.
