Speaking of odd, there are a lot of 'alternative' people in the hostel. Pretty girls, who've deformed their ears, girls that look like boys, boys that look like girls that sorta thing. There are also a lot of people spray painting the hostel with murals. They are impressive and it's been interesting to watch them take shape throughout the day. These guys are heading off to some hippy festival tomorrow, which also explains the weird music that's been pumping ...
... The place was full with happy drinkers and there were plenty of students in there. Incidentally, the hostel is very close by to the Uni here. We drank a couple of beers and then we were handed a few more to drink whilst the others chanted 'fonda-fonda', to dramatise the motion of drinking alcohol. We got back at 2.30ish.

Right off of a plane, a minute or two to stretch our legs, and then right on a 4-5 hour van ride out to Playa Flamingo. Note to self: next time fly into Liberia. It was an uncomfortable, slow, but very beautiful ride. No cell phone in the hand; strangers in front and in back. Let the silent judging begin.
